What is BookooTech?

Khushkor in partnership with Worldwide Education Fund (WEF) and BookooTech are looking for qualified candidates with knowledge of mobile applications and/or web development who are motivated to combine the art of design with the art of programming.

Bookoo Tech will provide hands-on paid internship training and experience to selected candidates who will gain practical knowledge of software development, project management, user interface, user experience design, wireframing and coding web and mobile applications over the first 8 weeks. Following completion of the initial training, successful graduates will receive full-time employment opportunity within the Center.

Internship training will be free to the candidates and the number of participants will be limited.

Qualifications:

Participants are required to be familiar and/or have experience with:

• Web-design and development
• Graphic design
• Javascript, CSS and HTML
• PHP, C#, or Java is a plus
• Familiarity with Javascript frameworks is a plus

Selection Criteria:

• Read & Write Knowledge of Russian and/or English (both preferred)
• Willingness to complete the 8-10 weeks hands-on paid internship training
• Be motivated and able to work in a team environment
• Persons with disabilities can also participate.

Note: Successful candidates will be required to sign a 2-year minimum contract of employment with the center post successful completion of the paid hands-on training internship.

Lead IT Instructor

Khushkor with Worldwide Education Fund (WEF) and BookooTech are looking for qualified candidates with knowledge of IT project management in the development of mobile applications and/or web development with strong teaching experience and a minimum BSc (MS or higher preferred) degree in Information Technology or other computer science fields.

WHAT DOES A LEAD INSTRUCTOR DO?

BookooTech instructor(s) help change students’ lives by teaching them program management developer skills and expertise as it relates to mobile application and website development. Lead IT Instructor should be passionate about curriculum development for back-end and front-end from frameworks to CSS and all the nuances that make someone a stellar developer. Lead Instructor(s) are responsible for:

• Utilizing the online training programs (e.g. edX.org, LinkedIn Learning) to develop a training curriculum for students in local language.
• Leading/facilitating daily classroom activities; everything from technical lecture, to labs, to review sessions.
• Planning activities, demos, assignments and exams as well as learning opportunities for students with support from TL (Team Lead) and other teachers (as needed).
• Monitoring each students progress in course completion and offering tutoring or office time as needed for those trailing behind.
• Working with program/operations manager, teaching assistants, and the Director to respond to student feedback & making adjustments in curriculum as agreed.
• Responding to student inquiries on Slack/Skype.
• Communicating with program managers and the Director of Learning about student progress.
• Providing real-world examples and context for lessons.
• Building a supportive classroom environment.
• Adjusting curriculum and content to adapt to student and/or employer needs.
• Sharing passion and enthusiasm for development.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We’re looking for someone who enjoys teaching young people project/program management, back-end and front-end development and is passionate about how a bootcamp experience and willing to put in the effort to transform lives. Practically speaking, we want someone who:

• Has experience in the field and in the subject matter and teaching others at a University level.
• Can demonstrate advanced knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript and Angular 6+ (through work experience, schooling, technical assessment, or all three!)
• Communicates complicated programming concepts in beginner-friendly language.
• Is passionate about mentoring and teaching.
• Cares deeply about the local community & students success.
• Obsesses about consistency and organization.
• Can handle the fast pace and quick changes of startup life.

It would be awesome if our new instructor also:

• Has a degree in IT or other Computer Science field (BSc at minimum (MS or higher desired). Extensive experience (5-8+ years) in the field of IT and teaching may be considered in lieu of degree.
• Has relevant teaching and mentoring experience.
• Has worked on open-source projects.
• Can demonstrate proficiency in another front-end framework.

Operations Manager

• Enforce and implement Company policies
• Hire and train new employees as well as prepare and process performance reviews; decide on reward and promotion-based performance liaison between upper management and employees

UI/UX Designer responsibilities include gathering user requirements, designing graphic elements and building navigation components. To be successful in this role, you should have experience with design software and wireframe tools. If you also have a portfolio of professional design projects that includes work with web/mobile applications, we’d like to meet you.

Ultimately, you’ll create both functional and appealing features that address our clients’ needs and help us grow our customer base.
